ACADEMICS > Upper Junior
(ages 10 to 12 years old)

OVERVIEW

Our Upper Junior, targeted at ages 10 to 12 years old, offers the Malaysian National Curriculum (KSSR) as its core programme. KSSR is an educational programme that includes curriculum and co-curricular activities which encompasses all the knowledge & skills to help develop students learning excellence as well as to inculcate and develop desirable moral values and to transmit knowledge. As a registered DLP (Dual-Language Programme) school, Mathematics and Science are taught in English.

UPSR & Primary Checkpoint (UK)

In addition to students sitting for their Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) examination at the end of their Primary 6, Zenith students are eligible to attempt the optional Primary Checkpoint Test (UK). The Primary Checkpoint have been designed to assess learners at the end of Primary school. Students attempting the Primary Checkpoint will need to sit for three (3) subjects – English, Mathematics and Science. The test papers are marked in the U.K. and will provide parents & the school with an external international benchmark for learner performance. Each learner receives a statement of achievement and a diagnostic feedback report, giving the school detailed information and parents the extra trust & confidence in the performance of their child.

DUAL LANGUAGE PROGRAMME (DLP)

Under the DLP initiative by the Malaysian Ministry of Education (MoE) which was implemented back in 2016, Science and Mathematics related subjects will be taught in English language to all students.
